Video processing takes longer than I would like! AND its more finicky than I expected. It took me 3 days to figure out that I had to erase my browser history to get this program to upload my video. I am sure it shouldn't be that way, but it was. ENJOY.

Still fighting...
Despite that we are trying to enjoy the good moments we have. Samantha had a really great time at a recent gymnastics birthday party and got to go out and catch fireflies (much past her bed time but hey, its summer right?). She didn't want to touch them because "they tickle".

Well, we haven't had any storms in the news but we have been getting hit with some wind. We lost a large tree branch. Guys are coming tomorrow to trim our 2 bradford pears in the back and clean it up. And we lost our patio table. Wind sent it to the ground and it was tempered GLASS. Not a very nice sound, frightening really, and kuddos for David who spent a VERY long time cleaning it up and combing through the grass for extra pieces. Still debating on replacement of the table. The set was originally bought used on Craigslist and a replacement table is $400!!
We are getting ready for some visitors soon. Come on in!
Oh, and the kitchen is just about done. See our new backsplash!

Can we do it?
So, for the last, oh, 8 months, we have had a video camera. The first time we used it 'officially' was at Samantha's birthday party. At that party I tried to record everyone singing to Samantha but I apparently hit record after the song was over and proceeded to record the next hour of people just milling about our house. Fun stuff :). Then we lost the charger and for months we couldn't find it. After that AJ was born and I didn't have the time or energy to figure the whole thing out. Using the camera seemed easy but figuring out how to put the video's on the blog, well, that was one of my major goals and its seemed difficult. BUT, last night (Happy Father's Day) I was talking to Samantha and Andrew's great grandfather and he made me realize how much I want to share sound with those checking our blog. My friend, Amy, is always updating her blog with videos' of her son and they are great. I hope this works for you all and you can enjoy the kids even more. This was just a quick snip it from after work today to see if I could get the video up for public viewing. [[This post was originally written monday. I had "processing issues".]]

5 months, ALREADY?!
We all know that time flies but some times it seems almost ridiculous how fast the days and weeks go by. Its almost a shame because there are times I wish for the clock to move faster...like when the kids are sick I just want them better (of course) or during the 'witching hour' I look forward to seeing David and having the whole family together. BUT the next thing I know its time to put one of the kids to bed and I am wishing time would stand still and allow me to read one more story, sing one more song, rock them to sleep and still have time to do the dishes, laundry, clean the house and have a little time with my dear David. We are having one of those weeks. Andrew is on his second course of antibiotic for an ear infection--he refused his bottle all week and went to the dr. twice and is extremely clingy (as I type with one hand and rock him). I have been under the weather and was basically told I probably won't feel better until I stop nursing - which is not an option in my opinion. Samantha is in her second day with a fever- fighting every moment.
Despite refusing the bottle AJ is already 15lb 5oz. He loves sharing smiles and kisses. A friend of our lent us their exersaucer and he loves it because he can be up and look around (keeping an eye on Big Sis). He looks alot like Samantha at this age- but with just a little more weight. But AJ is much more vocal. He loves to talk. He also wants to chew on everything in sight.
Samantha is really eating up being the Big Girl. She has been reading alot of books lately and playing with her puzzles, kitchen ("its time for dinner", she announces), and her stroller ("I am going to the store to buy groceries. I will bring Elmo and Doppie. See you later.").
We have ALMOST finished the remodel. After a month of major changes, David and I have been having a hard time finding the time to paint the trim and touch up the walls. We got all the trim done this weekend and some of the touch up-- it looks so much better!. Next week will bring some of the furniture back in and hang pictures. We have set a goal of having it all done by July 4th.
