Strong kids

As usual, a lot is going on! Grandma and Pop-pop were able to stop by for the day on Sunday. The kids really enjoyed seeing them (especially Samantha). Grandma even brought her a craft (the visor she is wearing). Andrew was very comfortable with both of them.

Samantha still loves swinging. Here she is taking her favorite dolls for a ride. Doppie and Elmo.

No more diapers ! Our little girl is now potty trained! Here she is enjoying a morning picnic/tea with mommy on our new hardwood floors.

We had the absolute pleasure of hearing the symphony at Vanderbilt last week. It was such a treat to see Samantha light up as they began to play the National Anthem. Fabulous. Andrew slept through the first half but you can see below he didn't miss it all.

Andrew is becoming more and more active. He rolled over from his back to his front for the first time yesterday and today he just cannot stop doing it. I have only seen him go from front to back once but I am sure that will become routine soon also. He has been fighting a cold for about 5 days and I took him to the doctor today to find out he does in fact have an ear infection. Poor thing...I hope he can sleep better in a few days. Its been rough because he will cry out in his sleep about every hour right now!!

He started rice cereal and he loves it and he is still enjoying his bath. Although we are getting more and more wet each time we bathe him because he has really started to get active with his legs...soccer player in our future? no pressure.

Quick Update

Andrew went to see the doctor monday for his 4 month visit. He has jumped up on the growth chart! He is now 50% ile weight and height (he was only 25% before). He is 14lbs, 6oz and 25 inches long. He has bypassed Samantha's weight when she was 4 months old (and gained almost 3 more lbs than she did at this point!).

We are about to start cereal because the boy acts like he is starving! He is holding himself up well when supported. I took more pictures this week but I don't have them on the computer yet.

One of our friends took a picture of Samantha while AJ and I were in Ohio. She and Daddy went to the bowling alley to celebrate a friend's birthday. Samantha is hot and cold with AJ right now. She is interested in playing with him sometimes and other times she doesn't even what him to look at her- nice.
We are looking forward to a low key weekend. Low key enough to focus on potty training and our trim work!
Have a good one.

Unintentional Tapering

Well, obviously you know we are busy if I am not updating the blog. If only we could create an 8 day week or something. Or if we could all function well on 5 hours of discontinuous sleep....

The remodel is just about done but I am not going to post any more pictures until its "COMPLETE". That means David and I need to get it together and finish the trim work.
Since my last update, we have been celebrating the Pascha season....

AJ and I made a lightening fast trip to Ohio for Anna's 1st communion. AJ meet Aunt Amanda and Uncle Bobo for the first time. He was overwhelmed with all his lady cousins. Sophie was so great with him. He let her hold him for a long time!

Here is a picture after 1st communion where my Goddaughter is holding David's Goddaughter!

"Big Jordan", as Samantha calls him, is visiting this weekend.

We have been enjoying spring. Samantha got to fly her kite (but was disappointed it didn't take her flying like in Curious George). She loves daddy's hammock. AJ is even enjoying outside time more these days. Daddy is playing softball for the church team and is getting some outdoor adventure time this month with a rafting day trip and a fly fishing trip.

Andrew is offically 4 months old now! Hard to believe. Trying to enjoy every moment of it because its going so fast. We have had a few really tough days this week with 'colic' like behavior reappearing. Sleep hasn't been great, but that is one of the good things about having gone through infant time before- 'this time will pass'. He sees the doctor on monday so I will post his 'stats' then. I can tell you he is getting big FAST. I am guessing he is 13 lbs. He is trying to roll over back to front but doesn't care much for tummy time yet.
