Whats been happening?

Well, Mommy cut Samantha's hair.

Samantha is playing mommy. She changes her baby's diaper and feeds her baby. But she also has been helping with Andrew. She gets burp clothes for mommy when she forgets and even helped give Andrew a bath yesterday.

AJ appears to be adjusting to life outside the womb a little better.

He is even attempting to smile.

Samantha and Andrew's great, great Aunt Alice and Uncle Reuben stopped by for a visit on Friday. It was great to see them.

Dead of winter

Oh, how I wish it were Spring....oh, how it would be nice to have Winter go on....


I would love to be in the great outdoors with Andrew, but its been cold and when its not cold its been rainy and when its not rainy its been really windy...But the reality is when Winter ends I will be back in the lab wishing I had more time with the kids....

How cute are they...How blessed we are!

More comparisons....now I think they look alot alike...except Andrew is "darker" and has a less defined chin and smaller ears. (Samantha on top and Andrew on the bottom.)

Quick update

We wanted to share a few new photos of the kids.

Samantha had a blast in Memphis last saturday for Nicholas' baptism (forgot to send the camera along with Daddy and Samantha, so no pics of that event). She has been eating like a horse and I think she is growing. We are going to need to change her wardrobe soon and her shoes seem to be getting smaller!

Andrew was churched this weekend. He arched his back when Fr. Stephen took him up to the alter and presented him. Father says that means he is going to be a priest. This picture is of Andrew and Samantha before church.

Andrew finally has a belly button and got his first "real" bath last night. He loved it compared to sponge baths.

Just for comparison. Andrew on top. Samantha at about the same age on the bottom. I am trying to find a better 'comparison' photo without a pacifier but with about the same pose. Sometimes we think they look ALOT alike and other times we think they are so different.

Wow!

Wow...Andrew is one month old today!

Wow...He weighs 8lbs 11oz. Thats a gain of 22 ounces in 15 days!!

Male pattern baldness?

Just kidding...but Andrew is loosing all the hair he was born with. In a matter of a day, the hair on the top of his head was gone and now we is loosing the spot on the back that he sleeps on.

Andrew is still in "Newborn" diapers and clothes and will be moving to SIZE 1 probably this week. I am estimating his weight to be just over 8lbs. His Aunt Mindy sent some clothes that his cousin Nicholas has already grown out of. He has a complete waredrobe for 0-3 months now. (and we have received so many gifts of clothes that his 3-6 month waredrobe seems pretty complete too- thanks!) She also lent us a hot sling - which you can see AJ likes!

Samantha had a fun weekend. She enjoyed the Superbowl get together with the Beazley's. Here you can see the kids watching The Tigger Movie while the adults watched the Superbowl.
